The Newborn Baby Layette is ready for shipping arrival by Dec 15 2017! Fits preemies 3-lbs, 5-lbs, 8-lbs and 11 lbs. Included in the pattern is a traditional baby nightie, burp cloth, bunny gift washcloth, receiving blanket, hooded towel and changing pad plus a toque/beanie!
The traditional nightie can be smocked or not and has three sleeve lengths. Can be made from batiste, flannel or soft fine cotton knit. New moms with no time for pressing will love this easy-care daygown! Can also be a christening gown, just change the length and fabric! Embellish with laces and Swiss embroideries or monogram, embroider or enhance in any fashion you wish! Three smocking designs are included with the pattern.
The burp cloth, receiving blanket, changing pad and hooded towel are so easy and can be finished with binding or any method you choose.
The toque/beanie is similar to those worn by newborns in many hospitals today and can be made of rib knit fabric or plain knit. The cuff can be embellished with embroidery, cross-stitching or a smocked motif to coordinate with the gown!
