This class will provide an overview of the techniques used in the blocks of the Cozy Christmas quilt. We will cover the basic techniques used in wool applique, making snowball corners using the Perfect Corners ruler, and making half square triangles using Primitive Gatherings triangle papers. There is no charge for this class, but you must be a subscriber to the Cozy Christmas Block of the Week to attend.
Face masks are required and attendance will be limited. An additional session will be added if necessary.
The following will be used in class:
Small square of double-sided fusible web - Shade's Soft Fuse recommended; pencil; scissors for cutting wool pieces - Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors recommended; #24 crewel needle; embroidery floss or #12 pearl cotton in Christmas red and spring green
The following will be used in teaching staff demos and will be used when completing your blocks at home:
rotary cutter and cutting mat; 6 1/2 x 24" ruler; square ruler 8" or larger; Perfect Corners Ruler (optional but recommended); triangle papers for making 2 1/2" finished half square triangles; yellow or green frixion pen or chalk marker; 70 microtex needles
